italienischer Verlag, gegründet 1954 in Mailand von Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (* 1926, ✝ 1972), der international durch die Erstveröffentlichung der Romane »Doktor Živago« (1957) von B. Pasternak und »Il Gattopardo« (1959) von G. Tomasi di Lampedusa bekannt wurde, später v. a. durch sozialrevolutionäre Schriften; weitere Verlagsgebiete: Klassiker, Philosophie, Übersetzungen. G. Feltrinelli, der mit südamerikanischen Befreiungs- sowie studentischen Protestbewegungen sympathisierte und ab 1969 im Untergrund lebte, kam unter nicht geklärten Umständen (bei einem Sprengstoffexperiment) ums Leben.
